Every team member who works with our pigs completes a comprehensive training program early in their career, combining hands on learning and classroom instruction. This approach builds a shared understanding of proper animal care and encourages continuous improvement. By focusing on calm, respectful interactions, we help our animals be safe and comfortable around people. We believe responsible animal care is not optional, it is the foundation of everything we do.

ANTIBIOTIC USE

Antibiotic use on our farm is carefully managed and never routine. Antibiotics are used only when pigs are sick or have been exposed to illness, and always with the health and comfort of the animal as the priority. Our first line of defense is strong biosecurity, sanitation, and daily care practices designed to prevent disease before treatment is ever needed. Because medication adds cost and complexity, we work intentionally to use antibiotics only when they are truly necessary.

We partner closely with licensed veterinarians to make treatment decisions and use only FDA approved antibiotics. Our team is trained through the Pork Quality Assurance Plus program, which ensures proper handling, accurate dosing, and strict adherence to required withdrawal times established by the FDA. These practices protect animal health and ensure the safety and integrity of the food we produce.
